Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on PURE team member and PGA pro Matt Jones.
In late April Matt played in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, a great tournament held at the newly re-opened TPC Louisiana. After a consistent quality effort, Matt finished 9-under, tied for 10th.
A few days later, Matt posted his best finish of the year at the Quail Hollow Championship. Following a 69 and 68 on his third and final rounds respectively, Matt finished 6-under par tied for 7th.
Most recently, Matt grabbed headlines by jumping out to an early lead at the Valero Texas Open. While the tournament was eventually won by fellow Australian Adam Scott, Matt finished 6-under, tied for 22nd.
Matt’s quality play has helped him to steadily climb the FedEx Cup Points leader board, where he now ranks 55th.
Look for Matt (and his PURE Grips!) in the Crown Plaza Invitational at Colonial, starting this Thursday in Fort Worth, Texas.
